Wie’s Latest Nike PicksFeb 25th, 2009 | By Editor | Category: Features, In The Hole!
Yes, Michelle Wie’s career has been a bit on the tumultuous side. But one thing has been consistent for her from the start: she’s a Nike woman all the way.
So no surprise, she was wearing her brand at the SBS at Turtle Bay tournament — and we thought she looked great.
During the final round, for instance, she chose a Nike Sphere Graphic Polo. We loved the detailing — very sharp, Michelle.
Nike is carrying the new polo in its own online store. We’ll keep our eye open and update you if we find it anywhere else.
We also admired Michelle’s Nike Tech Skort: a Dri-FIT skort with a satin-sateen finish (93 percent polyester/3 percent spandex).
We think the 17 and 1/2 inch out seam is a nice length — short enough to be flattering . . . long enough that you won’t feel, er, overexposed.
But the touch we envy the most? That nice wide pocket in the back — the perfect place to tuck your scorecard.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the skort is $60, but we’ve found an online retailer — ProGolf — that is offering it for $57.99.
Pictured to the right in Birch, the skort also comes in White, Black, Dark Cinder, and two shades of blue: Marina and Ice Blue.
